THE LOW DOWN

Friday June 13 will feature FREE outdoor performances on the Danbury Green( including The Machine with a great light show!).. The outdoor stage will run from 7pm - 10:30pm. At 11pm there will after partys at : TUXEDO JUNCTION, MONKEYBAR,CITY ALE HOUSE, COUSIN LARRYS.

On Saturday Free music starts at 2pm on the green with alternating sets all day the MonkeyBar as well - so you can walk back and forth! SATURDAY at 8pm will feature the HAT CITY FUNK PARTY ..this is going to be awesome and a chance for everyone to shake their moneymaker under the stars!

There will be tons more of bands added including: Rock, Reggae, Hip Hop, Dj's,Hardcore and more - we diversify with over 30 bands on the schedule!!

 

Why do we always do a tribute to the legends?

Easy. Not often do music fans get a chance to see the inlfuencers of modern music perform live. We choose the best scenario( besides the real thing) each year and by the turnout ...people dig it !!! 

Do we have food and other vendors?

A few. This is an area that we do not focus to much on since there is great places that surround the green to eat & drink! We also do not have the man power to secure as many vendors as we need so it is not an area of focus for us! But there is always a few staples at HCMF.

What if it rains?

On Friday we will move the music into TUXEDO JUNCTION and request a $10 donation at the door to cover the cost of venue usage, staff and the crew and equipment that it takes to move indoors!

On Saturday... we will move into the MonkeyBar - however, we may also be looking at alternate plans so we can accomondate all ages

 
Can I bring a cooler or alcohol?

Yes you can bring a cooler. The city has a policy of no glass or alcohol on the green but for every city center event people bring wine and beer and keep it respectable on the down low. The law says no in writing. You can walk to 6 bars that are within 100 feet of the main area and booze all day & night anyhow!

 

How fun is the HCMF?

It is a blast. It is the only weekend that all teh downtown venues come together and rally around the event so patrons can have a weekend of a lifetime.. Great music, good people and plenty of reasons to have a blast and let it all out!

 

What about pets?

Sorry folks, this one is enforced by the city NO PETS on the green!
